Baked Tilapia and Sweet Potato Wedges…

This recipe is one of the quickest meals you can make after the day’s hard job. It requires less or no prepping time and it is healthy and super delish… the fish can be cooked straight away as you don’t need to marinate it, the sweet potato doesn’t need peeling, all you have to do is season well,  put in the oven  and wait to enjoy a stress free meal after a stressful day.

Ofada Stew…

This stew is different from ‘ayamase’ simply because of the choice of pepper. Green bell pepper is used for ayamase but if you want the proper local taste, then I think you should try it with the red bell pepper and some tomatoes. To be honest I didn’t discover ayamase until I was in my 20’s.

Simple Roasted Chicken…

The simple things in life are sometimes the best things. Today I’m sharing another very simple chicken recipe and it’s simply irresistible.  If you are trying to stay fit and healthy, white meat is one of the many options you can choose from for your protein diet. The year is still very young and the trend at the moment is everyone keeping fit and trying to lose the Christmas weight off.

Suya Popcorn Chicken…

There is no story behind this wonderful recipe. I woke up this blessed morning, checked my fridge for what to cook and I ended up with suya popcorn chicken. If you love chicken and you want to try something new and not necessarily going to KFC to enjoy their lovely chicken popcorn, then I think you have come to the right place.

It is good and refreshing but I recommend taking it in the morning as it helps the digestive system. This mix can serve as palette cleanser and it also has its own health benefit.

Spicy Couscous with Baked Prawns

The first time I heard about couscous was about 5 years ago during my national youth service. I spent a year in Kano, Dala to be precise and I can say categorically that couscous is one of the favourites of the northerners. How they cook it then I don’t know and I never had the chance to cook one as I thought it’s going to be a hassle cooking something so tiny and it just look complicated.
