You must be wondering why I am sharing the cow tongue cleaning procedure with you today of all things? Well, I went to my butchers at the abattoir recently and I saw a pile of tongues on the side. People were coming in their numbers to buy every other thing […]
Weekly food menu
2015 has been a great year for me and I am eternally thankful to God and all of you my precious beautiful readers. I came across a post from Lindsay of pinch of yum some days back and that gave birth to this post. I have so many recipes on the blog but the truth is I rarely make most of them except on special occasions.
What other time of the year it is to share this lovely recipe but now. For some years now, I kind of make it a duty to make my own chutney or jam around Christmas time. Last year was epic, as I made sure every food on my Christmas menu was home-made including the drinks. I was so proud of myself and I kinda felt like a superwoman.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, all I could manage to eat at some point was Mr Monday’s okra soup. Ok, before you start wondering, Mr Monday is hubby’s work colleague and this okra soup was one of their go to soup when the boys were hungry then. The first time I had this meal I couldn’t believe my mouth. Lol.
Wow I cant believe it is week 3 already. To those that have been able to observe the fast, well done to you and to those that haven’t for some medical reasons or other things, I pray you all receive the blessings that comes with the season.
Big thanks to everyone that contributed to last week’s post and those that sent me emails, thank you for your prayers and God bless you all. Like I promised, here is the continuation of the weekly menu series.
Happy Monday my lovies, hope you all had a wonderful weekend and how was Father’s day on your side? The highlight of the weekend for me was in church, the Sunday school topic was about the man being the head of the home and the most interesting part was when a question was asked about owning a joint account with your spouse.
