I visited my friend a while ago she served me chicken and chips, the chips was the best I’ve ever had. Honestly, it was just chips but the taste was heavenly and I even had second round. If I tell you the secret to those heavenly chips was just onions. Frozen chips fried with onions and that took it from the normal chips to gourmet for me.
My first experience of afia efere (white soup) was at my uncles wedding some few years ago and boy did I enjoy it? I loved every bit of it. Everyone wanted to have a taste of the afia efere also called whte soup at the engagement party, it was a hit. I asked my sister in-law for the recipe and she was really happy to share it with me.
2015 has been a great year for me and I am eternally thankful to God and all of you my precious beautiful readers. I came across a post from Lindsay of pinch of yum some days back and that gave birth to this post. I have so many recipes on the blog but the truth is I rarely make most of them except on special occasions.
What other time of the year it is to share this lovely recipe but now. For some years now, I kind of make it a duty to make my own chutney or jam around Christmas time. Last year was epic, as I made sure every food on my Christmas menu was home-made including the drinks. I was so proud of myself and I kinda felt like a superwoman.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, all I could manage to eat at some point was Mr Monday’s okra soup. Ok, before you start wondering, Mr Monday is hubby’s work colleague and this okra soup was one of their go to soup when the boys were hungry then. The first time I had this meal I couldn’t believe my mouth. Lol.
I have just had an eventful 48 hours; 3 hours of it was me dancing away my sorrows like I have no worries in the world and the last 24 hours of that time was me thinking about how dubious and rude some people can be. The bottom line of the last 24hours for me is to beware of people one opens his/her doors to and if you are going to leave your keys with them,
