Roasted Garlic Butter (Compound Butter)

Roasted garlic butter is a flavourful compound butter made with two main ingredients; roasted garlic and chopped parsley. It is simple, quick, flavourful and versatile. This roasted garlic compound butter is great on potatoes, steak, seafood or chicken and even as a spread on bread.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter softened or at room temperature
  • 5 roasted garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Add the roasted garlic to a bowl and mash with a fork until smooth. Then add the butter, mix to combine. Finally, add the finely chopped parsley and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the compound butter to a parchment paper or cling film (plastic wrap) and roll into a log (Think salami size here)
  • Place the flavoured butter in the fridge or freezer to firm up until needed.

Notes

Tips
  • Use salted or unsalted butter.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 5 days if you added fresh fruits or bacon and up to 2 weeks for fresh herbs. This flavoured butter would last up to 6 months in the freezer. Cut them into managable chunks before storing in the freezer
