Baked Flour Tortilla Chips

Oven baked flour tortilla chips made from scratch. I have made them with 4 ingredients flour tortilla, lemon, garlic and salt. Oven baked tortilla chips are easy to make, healthy and it only requires little prep time. I would be surprised if you spent more than 5 minutes prepping for it.

  • Baking tray


  • 4 Flour tortilla
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Salt


  • Preheat the oven at 180⁰C/375F
  • Line a baking tray with a parchment paper
  • Add vegetable oil, minced garlic and salt into a small bowl and mix to combine
  • Using a pastry brush, brush both sides of the tortilla with the garlic oil mixture. Then stack them on top of one another as you’ve oiled both sides.
  • With a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the flour tortilla into equal wedges or triangles. Arrange tortilla wedges on the lined baking tray in a single layer.
  • Bake the chips for 10 to 12 minutes or until crispy and golden. I used 2 baking trays for the portion of chips I made rotating them once in-between baking for even cooking. If you are unable to do this, repeat the process of baking the chips in portions until all flour tortilla wedges are exhausted.
  • Remove the tray from the oven and leave the chips to cool before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. I would be surprised if they last that long though
