What is in my homemade Italian dressing

This is a very simple recipe but very delicious and quick to make. I used my homemade Italian seasoning mix,

olive oil and vegetable oil: I used a combination of the two as I don’t want the flavour of the olive oil to overpower my dressing. I would stay off extra virgin olive oil for this recipe.

    red wine vinegar

Parmesan cheese: I used the tiniest hole of my grater to get the quantity I used

chilli flakes for gentle kick or more if you prefer

Lemon juice for that zesty flavour

    Onion powder because why not

Pinch of salt: adjust to taste

You can make few substitutes to suit your taste.

    ingredients.

How to make Italian salad dressing

This is one easy recipe you label “NOT ROCKET SCIENCE” lol.

Add all the ingredients into a mason jar or a jar with a tight lid. Give it a good shake to combine, put it in the fridge for at least an hour or until chilled.

Taste and adjust for seasoning (salt and pepper). Alternatively, use the Italian salad dressing immediately on a cold salad.

    • Simple salad recipe
    • Use as marinade for chicken, beef, pork, fish, cheese, olives, vegetable, use in sandwich filling.

    How to store it:

Ideally, Italian dressing lasts for some couple of weeks but I would recommend keeping this and using it within 2 weeks.
