    Pineapple lemonade recipe

Who says lemons should be made into lemonade alone? You can lemon-ade just about any fruit you have at hand. Just like I did with this watermelon lemonade. I love the fact that this is only a 5-minute recipe and doesn’t call for sugar syrup.

This pineapple lemonade is perfect for anytime of the year, summer, spring even in the cold weather. This is a deliciously refreshing drink that will quench your thirst and keep you refreshed anytime of the day.

If you want to make it more fun, make it into frozen pineapple lemonade or slushie. If you are in charge of homemade lemonade or drink this summer, bbq or cookout, you should definitely give this a try.

My kids love this drink so much, it is great for kids and adults. My husband loves to serve his with a bit of coconut punch. It is so good, yes, I know because I tried it.

Do you also know you can make pineapple lemonade with sprite or 7up? I know it may sound lazy but I did this with my mango lemonade recipe and it was really good. You should check it for how I made it.

    Ingredients

Pineapple: you can use fresh or frozen pineapple chunks

    Fresh lemon juice

    Sugar

Ginger: this is optional but gives it a good zing

    Water

    Ice to serve

    How to make pineapple lemonade

Wash and peel the pineapple, remove the core and cut into chunks. If you want to cheat, use “not from concentrate” pineapple juice instead

    bowl of juice.

Add some ice to a glass or pitcher, pour the pineapple lemonade and give it a good stir. Leave to chill or drink immediately.

    How to store pineapple lemonade

This homemade pineapple juice will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight bottle. You can freeze it too in an airtight container leaving a bit of gap to allow for expansion during the freezing process.

    Tips

    • If you don’t want to use ordinary sugar in case it doesn’t dissolve into the juice, make a simple sugar syrup by boiling equal amount of sugar and water until dissolved. Use as desired in the lemonade
    • Pour the lemonade into ice cube tray and freeze. Add the frozen cubes to flavour your water as at when needed.
    • Blend the frozen lemonade to make pineapple slushie.
